The Strachan Memorial Prize was established to honour the late Mary Strachan who bequeathed a sum of money to the Raine Medical Research Foundation for the purpose of funding medical research.
The Prize is awarded to a Western Australian early-career clinical researcher for the most outstanding scientific paper that may translate medical science into better health outcomes.
The Prize consists of a travel allowance up to the value of $5,000 and a medallion.
The Guidelines and Conditions governing the Prize are subject to regular review by the Research Committee to ensure that they are relevant and clearly articulate the main principles for selection.
