Thank you for considering leaving a gift in your Will to support research excellence and life-saving research through the work of the Raine Medical Research Foundation. Each year hundreds of thousands of Western Australians, adults and children, are helped by the outcomes of medical research made possible by the support of the Raine Foundation.
A bequest is the ultimate gift for the future and the Foundation is very grateful for gifts both large and small. Your thoughtful gift will help the Foundation support Western Australian researchers to continue their life-saving discoveries for the benefit of us all.
We invite you to become one of the people who help make this possible in the future. You can make different types of gifts to the Foundation in your Will including:
- A residuary gift – what is left of your estate once all other gifts and costs have been paid
- A pecuniary gift – a gift of a specific amount
- A percentage gift – a specific proportion of your estate
- A gift of assets – gifts of assets such as shares, property or real estate
We encourage you to seek legal advice and to consider your family and loved ones when writing your Will. You can be very proud of your decision to leave a bequest to the Raine Medical Research Foundation and we encourage you to talk about your plans with your family.
The following general wording can be used as the basis for a gift to the Foundation in your Will. You will also find suggested wording for specific clauses here, as well as information for Solicitors and Executors.
“I give to the Raine Medical Research Foundation (insert the details of your gift)
and I direct that the receipt of the Director of the Raine Medical Research Foundation will be sufficient discharge to my Executor/Trustee.”
Please let us know if you have decided to leave a bequest to the Raine Foundation so we can make sure we understand your wishes and how we might acknowledge your gift. We would also like to keep you up to date with our research programs. Any discussions that we have with you and your decision to make a bequest will be kept confidential unless you say otherwise.
